Delete my account

You can delete your account at any time, by yourself, from within the app. No email request is needed, and no justification is asked of you.

From the app

• Open Scriptio and sign in to your account.
• Go to Settings › Delete my account.
• Confirm the deletion.

Your account is then anonymised immediately: it disappears from the Bible, from the community and from the feeds, and no one can access it any more.

What is deleted

• Your account: email address, name, password
• Your profile: photo, biography, location, faith category
• Your annotations, highlights, collections and drafts
• Your voice notes
• Any documents you may have sent for verification

Within what time

• Anonymisation: immediate, upon confirmation
• Permanent deletion: within 30 days (a grace period allowing an accidental deletion to be reversed)
• Technical backups held by the host: erased within a 7 to 30 day cycle
• Anonymised error logs: 90 days
• Administrative action logs and support correspondence: 3 years, under our traceability obligations

If you can no longer access the app

Write to scriptioorg@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account, asking for its deletion. We reply within one month at the latest.
